In the first of three demonstrations, Scott teaches you how to combine field studies to create a studio painting.  In the following two demonstrations, he shows you how to approach situations you encounter when painting en plein air, including “keying in” the painting correctly with strong shapes and correct values in order to capture your critical information quickly.  Painting titles include “South Park Summer,” “Warbonnet Rock Fields,” and “Salisbury Sunset.”  This instructional video is 3 hours in length.

Scott shows you how he develops a large painting, “Brooks Lake Runoff” from a field reference. He will take you from the field study, to the mixing of colors and blocking in larger forms, to the final detail work. Scott shares with you his studio, work environment, as well as a gallery at the end of the video which displays some of his other wonderful paintings.  This instructional video is 3 hours in length.
